Sometimes drooping eyelids are
a sign of a drooping eyebrow. In this case Dr. Wasserman
would consider performing a browlift with the Featherlift
technique prior to consideration of eyelid surgery.
Other options to rejuvenate the
area around the eyes include FAMI
(facial autograft muscle injection) a form of fat
injections to restore the eyebrows volume and projection
or to correct the sunken appearance underneath the eyes.
This is usually the preferred technique to fat removal
from lower eyelid bags.
In cases of minimal to moderate
lower eyelid excess skin, the wrinkles skin can usually
be treated with periorbital laser
resurfacing alone.
