Laser Resurfacing: Scottsdale, Phoenix, Arizona
Few cosmetic
procedures can make the kind of difference that
a good laser resurfacing can. Laser resurfacing makes
it possible to remove a lifetime of sun damage and blemishes
from you skin while tightening your skin at the same
time.

How Laser Resurfacing Renews Your Skin
The CO2
was the first resurfacing laser. But, it causes burn-like
thermal damage to the skin, resulting in very slow healing.
Then came the Erbium lasers. These did not cause thermal
injury and their healing time was much faster. But they
were also not as powerful as the CO2 lasers so results
were not as dramatic.
At The Scottsdale Cosmetic Health Insitute we are proud to offer the Sciton Profile Erbium
laser. This powerful erbium resurfacing laser offers
the dramatic rejuvenating results previously capable
only with Co2 lasers, but without the same prolonged
down time and risks.

Dr. Wasserman frequently combines
laser resurfacing with other cosmetic procedures such
as eyelid surgery and the Featherlift for optimal rejuvenation..
Both local and intravenous anesthesia ensures that laser
resurfacing is both painless and safe.
Patients should allow up to one
week off for healing. After that time all our patients
are able to return to their full activities. Any residual
pinkness or healing from laser resurfacing can easily
be covered with mineral based make up at that time.
Out-of-town patients who come for laser resurfacing
may return home after the initial healing of almost
5 days.
